Every ChatGPT sale counted once
The OpenAI pixel in the browser and server-side tracking of paid orders share one event ID, so OpenAI counts each sale once.
BigCommerce
Install Convrail from the BigCommerce App Marketplace: your catalog syncs, the OpenAI pixel is added to your storefront without any theme edit, and each paid order is also sent from the server to the OpenAI Conversions API, counted once. Your products become a validated feed delivered to OpenAI every day.
Sales tracked today
3 sales sent to OpenAI, 0 duplicates
From the ChatGPT answer to your BigCommerce order and your margin: tracking, revenue and ROAS, profit per product, the product feed, alerts and AI search visibility.
Figures in the video are illustrative. The video loads from YouTube only when you press play.
The OpenAI pixel in the browser and server-side tracking of paid orders share one event ID, so OpenAI counts each sale once.
Your catalog becomes a product feed checked line by line and delivered to OpenAI every day.
A visit from ChatGPT is linked to the visitor’s cart and the order is matched on the server, so attribution does not depend on the confirmation page.
Added through BigCommerce’s Scripts API: one script on your storefront pages, one on the order confirmation page.
Each paid order is sent to the OpenAI Conversions API with the same event ID as the pixel. Refunds and cancellations come off your revenue.
Products and variants with their brand, category, images and GTIN, UPC or MPN, kept current by product webhooks.
Paid orders from the last 30 days are imported when you install the app.
Every product is checked against the OpenAI product feed specification; a rejected product shows the reason and the fix.
When your store shows BigCommerce’s cookie banner, the pixel stores and sends nothing until the visitor accepts advertising cookies, and nothing after a refusal.
Your OpenAI keys are validated with OpenAI and stored encrypted on Convrail, never in your store.
Title and description proposals that apply to the feed sent to ChatGPT, never to your BigCommerce products.
Several store users can open Convrail, each in English or French depending on their language.
One click. The catalog syncs and the pixel is added to your storefront automatically.
In Settings, paste your Ads Manager key; Convrail validates it with OpenAI.
The Home tab guides you to your first feed delivery and to live mode.
Setup step by step, the app screens, what the app does on your store, and requirements.
Find Convrail in the BigCommerce App Marketplace and install it. It is a single-click app: nothing to download, no code to add. Convrail then opens in your control panel, under Apps > Convrail.
On install, Convrail syncs your catalog (products and variants with their brand, category, images, GTIN, UPC and MPN), registers order and product webhooks, imports your paid orders from the last 30 days, and adds the storefront pixel through BigCommerce’s Scripts API. Your theme is not edited.
In the Settings tab, paste the key from your OpenAI Ads Manager, or your pixel ID and Conversions API key. Convrail validates them with OpenAI and stores them encrypted on its platform, never in your store.
In the Product feed tab, add the store name shown in ChatGPT and the countries you sell to, then send your catalog. Each rejected product is listed with the reason and the fix.
Your store starts in test mode: OpenAI checks your events without counting them. Once your keys are accepted, switch to live mode from the Home checklist or the Settings tab.
Convrail opens in your BigCommerce control panel, under Apps > Convrail, in English or French depending on your user language. Several store users can open it. The tabs, in the order of the app:
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Home | The setup checklist, step by step up to live mode, then what ChatGPT brought you over the last 30 days. |
| Settings | Your Ads Manager key (or your pixel ID and Conversions API key), validated with OpenAI, and the switch from test mode to live mode. |
| Product feed | Feed settings (store name shown in ChatGPT, countries you sell to), sending on demand, a refresh of your products from BigCommerce, and each rejected product with the reason and the fix. |
| ChatGPT sales | Visits, orders and revenue from ChatGPT over 30 days, with and without ads, ad spend and return on ad spend, best sellers and landing pages. |
| Profit | Profit by product over 30 days: revenue, units sold, ad spend, margins and return on ad spend. |
| Improve my products | Products to improve, lowest scores first, what to fix first, and AI rewrite proposals for titles and descriptions. A rewrite applies to the feed sent to ChatGPT, never to your BigCommerce product. |
| Visibility | The buying questions you track: whether ChatGPT names your store, at which position, and who it names instead. Included in the Scale plan. |
| Alerts | Open and resolved alerts, and an email when something breaks. |
| Activity | The latest events, from the visitor’s browser or your store’s server, with their status at OpenAI. |
| Plans and billing | Your plan. Paid plans are paid by card through Stripe; the checkout opens in a new tab. |
| Plan | Price | Product feed |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Up to 500 items |
| Growth | $29 per month or $243 per year, 14-day free trial | Up to 5,000 items |
| Scale | $79 per month or $663 per year, 14-day free trial | No item limit |
Uninstalling the app cancels your paid subscription. Every plan is detailed on the pricing page.
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Storefront pixel | Two scripts added through BigCommerce’s Scripts API to your default storefront channel: one on storefront pages, one on the order confirmation page. They are listed in Channels > (your storefront) > Script manager. Your theme is never edited. |
| Consent | Both scripts are in BigCommerce’s targeting consent category. When your store shows BigCommerce’s cookie banner, the pixel stores and sends nothing until the visitor accepts advertising cookies, and nothing after a refusal. |
| Data layer | Optional. If your store has enabled BigCommerce’s data layer, the pixel also uses it for product views, add-to-cart and purchase details, and stops if the visitor withdraws consent. |
| ChatGPT Ads click | The click identifier is kept for 7 days. |
| Attribution | For visits from ChatGPT, the storefront script links the visitor’s cart to the visit, and the order is matched to the visit through its cart on the server, so attribution does not depend on the confirmation page. Organic visits from ChatGPT (ChatGPT referrer or utm_source) are recognized too. |
| Orders | An order counts once its payment is confirmed. It is sent server-side to the OpenAI Conversions API with the same event ID as the pixel, so OpenAI counts it once. Refunds and cancellations remove the sale from your revenue. |
| Customer data | Emails and phone numbers are hashed with SHA-256 before anything is sent. |
| Catalog | Products and variants, with their brand, category, images and GTIN, UPC or MPN, are synced on install, then kept current by product webhooks. |
| Uninstall | Your paid subscription is canceled, and BigCommerce removes the storefront scripts automatically. |
No. Convrail adds its storefront scripts through BigCommerce’s Scripts API, and BigCommerce removes them when you uninstall the app.
No. Both copies carry the same event ID, so OpenAI counts the sale once.
Yes, with BigCommerce’s cookie banner: the pixel reads the visitor’s choice from it. It stores and sends nothing until the visitor accepts advertising cookies, and nothing after a refusal. If you use BigCommerce’s data layer, the pixel also stops when the visitor withdraws consent.
On the Convrail platform, encrypted. They are validated with OpenAI when you paste them, and never stored in your store.
Paid plans (Growth and Scale) are paid by card through Stripe, with a 14-day free trial; the checkout opens in a new tab. Uninstalling the app cancels your paid subscription.
